The AIAS Foundation, the philanthropic arm of the Academy of Interactive Arts & Sciences (AIAS), has opened submissions for its annual scholarship programs benefiting students and early professional in the video games industry from now until May 31, 2021. The AIAS Foundation, WomenIn, and Girls for Gaming scholarships are provided to students and early professionals in game design, production, or business who aspire to make a mark on the games industry through their dedication, passion, and interest in pushing forward the medium of interactive entertainment.
AIAS Foundation Student Scholarships
These scholarships support aspiring student game makers in undergraduate or graduate level programs who are planning on pursuing a career in development or leadership. Included in their scholarship is $2,500 tuition reimbursement, an all-expense paid trip to the 2022 D.I.C.E. Summit and a mentorship program.
AIAS Foundation Early Professional Scholarships
These scholarships support video game early professionals and recent graduates within their first 2 years in the industry. Included in their scholarship is an all-expense paid trip to the 2022 D.I.C.E. Summit and a $2,000 stipend to another industry event.
WomenIn Scholarships (Supported by Intel)
The WomenIn Scholarship was established as a collaborative effort to attract, retain, and advance women in the video game industry by supporting education and professional development programming.
Girls for Gaming Scholarship
The Girls for Gaming Scholarship honors individuals who help empower and educate girls and young women on the various roles within the gaming industry with the purpose of driving and normalizing gender diversity within gaming. This initiative aims to support the scholarship recipient through their education (if they are a student), participate in a mentoring program, and be invited to take part in workshops on how to further grow ally communities and amplify female voices.
